What an impressive user experience! Our first visit to Malta and stay at the AX Hotel was truly exceptional. For a mere 25 euros extra (note: off-peak season), we could upgrade to an Executive Suite with a private sauna. Arrival: The staff left us impressed with their incredible friendliness. Never before have I been treated so warmly and respectfully in any of my previous hotel stays. Despite the affordable off-peak season rates, we experienced top-notch service that made us feel like VIPs (even though we didn't avail ourselves of such treatment). A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for a fantastic vacation. Room: The Executive Suite was an absolute dream. The view could have been better, but the room was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. It was spacious and had everything one could need – simply fantastic. The culinary experience was just mega. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. The waitstaff were uniformly great, always attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, this hotel must be recommended – from the excellent cuisine to the top-notch service, an all-around successful experience. Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire staff for this wonderful vacation. Your outstanding service and the friendly atmosphere made our stay an unforgettable experience. The hotel is phenomenal and deserves five stars. It is located in an ideal location from where there are many opportunities to visit neighboring towns and cities. The hotel serves an incredibly good breakfast and there is something for everyone. The hotel has one outdoor pool on the eighth floor and another indoor smaller pool on the seventh floor. Extremely pleasant hotel, very clean and tidy with extremely friendly staff. Since the hotel itself is located at the very top of Sliema, wherever you go down to the coast you will come across a nicely decorated promenade and there are also numerous bus stops. Bus traffic works well, but one fact should be kept in mind: THERE IS A LOT OF AUTOMOBILES AND EVERYTHING IS RESISTANT! A city bus covers a distance of about 30 kilometers in about an hour and twenty minutes!. It took us 30 minutes from the hotel ado airport (it's about 7 km)!. The water from the tap is not drinkable, but it is bacteriologically correct. Malta should be visited because of its interesting history, but keep in mind that it is not a destination for swimming!.

Convenient location: center of Sliema, everything (Lidl, the beach, local shops) is close. Very responsive service, water, cleaning, towels exchange were done without any reminding. We took half board and the food was delicious, especially desserts, a lot of sea food, local specialities, big variety, even some extras on the weekend. Waiters remove dishes very fast. We had luck and even got a restaurant upgrade (in the neighbor 5 star hotel: AX The Palace). Nice gym, sauna and indoor pool (heated), everything is clean, comfortable and has all necessary equipment (towels, water, cosmetics). There was also water, cosmetics, safe (but we didn't use), fridge, tea and coffee bags in the room. We'll definitely come back. Thank you so much, vacation was amazing.

The hotel was amazing. The room is spacious with a massive bed. Nice bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was very well stocked in a lovely room/hall. The location was great for us. It's in a great road in Sliema. Near to the Valletta ferry and near to the coast for walks etc. The staff were a highpoint. All lovely and helpful. The restaurants on site are really good and the Pools are amazing. Loads of beds and chairs, bars and food with table service. One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Good underground parking as well. 5 euros a day but totally secure and spacious.

We are regulars at this property because the rooms are classically designed, spacious and well equipped. The location is ideal with bus connections across the island and close to local amenities. It is also quiet. The food is of high quality with a buffet that contains staples and changing special dishes e.g Maltese pastries at breakfast and different meat and fish dishes in the evening buffets. Finally, the staff are highly courteous, polite and committed to ensuring an enjoyable stay. This is our number one hotel in Malta that we keep coming back to.
